Veneer

Although most of our wooden products are made from solid wood, we also use veneer sheets and wood-based panels in some of our furniture. We do so to achieve particular qualities in our designs, whether in form, comfort or structural stability.

One of the ways we work with veneer is through molded veneer, which allows us to create curved and slender shapes. This technique is especially used for chair seats and backs, where the combination of strength and flexibility supports a high level of comfort.

In a few of our products, we also use thin veneer sheets as a standalone material, where their lightness and refined surface are integral to the design.

For constructions that require strong dimensional stability, we use veneered panels. A veneered panel consists of a wood-based core covered with veneer on the visible sides. We use either plywood or MDF as the core, depending on the needs of the design. Veneered panels can be treated much like solid wood and require similar maintenance, although they cannot be sanded to the same extent, placing some limitations on refinishing.
